Why do I receive the settlement of service costs and utilities?

In your monthly rent, an advance payment of all utilities and services is included. This amount is based on an average yearly usage. However, as stated in your contract (General Provisions Section 17), you pay what you have actually consumed. Every year, we send you a settlement bill of utility costs from the previous year. The annual statement is an overview of the pre-paid service costs compared to your actual usage.

You pay what you have consumed. When you have used less, you will receive the extra paid fees back. When you have used more, you will have to pay the extra costs as stated in the settlement bill.

When you are not a tenant anymore, be sure to keep your bank details up to date in your online account in order for us to successfully process a refund of the settlement!
