If you rent a residence and use shared facilities, we will charge costs for its maintenance. These costs include for example the cleaning costs of the common areas, the electricity costs for lights in the common hallway or the maintenance of an intercom system or elevator. The service costs also include the maintenance costs of a communal garden and the cleaning costs of the exterior of your windows.
You pay these service costs in advance. This is an estimation of the actual costs. At the end of the year, we will check whether you have to pay extra, or whether you get a refund. You will find an overview of this in the service costs settlement. This settlement is based on the actual number of days you have rented in the past year. Normally you receive the settlement bill in July.
