4 tasty eateries in Maastricht
The best way to get to explore a city is through a food tour. Luckily the Burgundian city of Maastricht offers many amazing food hotspots.
Our property manager Matt shares his favorite eateries in Maastricht. As a former Hotel Management School student, he knows his way around the city.
#1 NOON MAASTRICHT
NOON Maastricht is a trendy hide-out in the popular Wyck area. “Noon has a stunning terrace that offers beautiful views of the Maas and delicious cocktails you should not miss! My favorite dish is eggs benedict with salmon. Noon is a cool lunch spot; I wouldn’t go there for dinner. Noon is especially fun in the summer, when you can sit by the water!”
#2 RESTAURANT CINQ
Restaurant Cinq is a Burgundian restaurant with many French classics. The restaurant has a nice view of the old bridge of Maastricht. “At the Cinq you must order the steak tartare with the french fries, it’s the best! But the burrata salad (starter) and the petit poussin (main) are very good as well!”
#3 CAFÉ FALSTAFF
Drinking on an empty stomach is a decidedly bad idea. Therefore, Café Falstaff is a great place to start your night out. Café Falstaff is a specialty beer café located at St. Amorsplein. They serve a very tasty beer menu and the snack boards. “My favorites are The Super Mega Beer Shelf for drinks and the Staffburger Royal for dinner! And afterwards, you can go straight to the pubs on the Vrijthof.”
#4 RESTAURANT LUSTER
Restaurant Luster is located at the famous Vrijthof. The Mediterranean restaurant offers a good service and a tasty menu. “I would recommend starting with the shared dishes and take the turbot as main. The combination of good food and the lively atmosphere of the most iconic square in Maastricht makes Luster one of my favorite food hotspots!”
